The lennard-jones potential contains two tunable parameters - σ and ϵ. σ controls the size of the particles, while ϵ adjusts the depth of the well. Setting up the system such that particles of the same colour attract each other, we observe phase separation. A 'control' system of identical (but differetly) coloured particles is show what happens if the attractive force were absent.
